About ICL-X

The story behind ICL-X (before even the establishment of the brand) spans several years. It’s perhaps a narrative of resilience, experience, and a relentless drive to solve real-world logistics problems.

In 2023, the ICL brand was conceptualized by Ifaz Imtiaz, Muhammed Sanoon, and Mohamed Sajeed.

Ifaz particularly, being a seasoned logistics expert and entrepreneur with a humble 20+ years of global industry experience. This is a brand, build on trust, commitment, quality of service and many other pillars.

Managing Director

Coming from a family somewhat rooted in trading -particularly in Sri Lanka’s iconic gem and jewellery industry, and brought up learning the values of hard work, and gaining business acumen from his father and grandparents, Ifaz Imtiaz’s entrepreneurial journey began early. To the extent of launching a company at age 18, in the UK.

His professional career took a major leap in the Hijri year 1428/1429 corresponding to the Gregorian year 2008, with FedEx Express, which marked his entry into the global freight forwarding and logistics sector. After a period of about 12 years at FedEx, Ifaz eventually became the Gateway Manager, and played a significant role in Saudi Arabia’s first bonded warehouse at King Fahd International Airport.

His expertise also included Naqel, where he worked as Business Development Manager.

Over the recent years, the initial company (prior to ICL-X) that began under the stewardship of Ifaz, executed logistics / freight forwarding operations for major brands like Volvo, IKEA, Philips Healthcare, AlFanar, Juffali, and Al-Futtaim in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Muhammed Sanoon is a seasoned entrepreneur and development professional with over 20 years of experience across the private sector, NGOs, and international organizations, including the United Nations and USAID.

As the founding investor and Director of Ideal Express LLC, he brings visionary leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to ethical and halal business practices. Mr. Sanoon has a proven track record of building and scaling businesses from the ground up. He previously led a manufacturing company to national recognition through operational excellence, international partnerships, and ISO-certified standards.

His expertise includes business development, logistics management, grant acquisition, and cross-cultural team leadership. With a passion for integrity-driven enterprise, Mr. Sanoon plays a key role in guiding Ideal Express LLC’s long-term vision and strategic growth in the logistics sector, ensuring both profitability and value-based service delivery across the Gulf region.

Managing Partner

Mr. Sajeed is a seasoned financial professional with over 17 years of experience in auditing, corporate finance, and strategic financial leadership. He brings a strong foundation from Big 4 audit training and held senior roles at KPMG, followed by operational finance leadership within the Hilton Group’s hospitality sector.

For over a decade, he served as the Head of Finance in a complex manufacturing environment, overseeing all aspects of financial management. Now steering a new venture in the logistics industry, Mr. Sajeed applies his deep expertise in financial control, operational efficiency, and strategic planning to drive the growth of Ideal Express LLC.

His proven financial acumen and disciplined leadership are key to building a resilient, high-performing logistics business with a strong foundation for long-term success.

The Birth of ICL-X

After years of industry experience, and a previous entrepreneurial venture in the Kingdom that dissolved due to internal disagreements, in 1444/1445/2023, Ideal Corp Logistics (ICL) was formed in Colombo, Sri Lanka. And sequentially the official formation of Ideal Express LLC in Saudi Arabia in 1446/2025 under the same umbrella.

In partnership with Mr. Sanoon and Mr Sajeed, introduced through a mutual connection, and with a desire to invest in Saudi Arabia, the ICL company was started with huge priority to deliver customer-first freight forwarding and supply chain solutions, tailored to Saudi Arabia’s fast-changing logistics landscape.

ICL-X brings a crystal clear drive to provide a service that is very impactful to the customer, and to solve operational inefficiencies when it comes to how customers’ shipments are being handled.

In this industry of freight forwarding and logistics, timing is a significant factor from customs clearance, air-freight access, bonded storage and so on.
